Nicholas joined Keegan Alexander in January 2018. He is a member of the commercial litigation team. He acts, and has acted, on a wide range of matters including debt recovery, property, insolvency, securities and company law matters.
Nicholas previously worked at Inland Revenue in Legal and Technical Services and at the Office of Treaty Settlements in the Negotiations and Settlements Team. He completed an Arts degree at the University of Auckland and taught English as a second language before completing a law degree at Victoria University of Wellington.
Nicholas has extensive litigation experience including numerous appearances in the High Court, District Court and Family Court. In addition to his wider litigation experience, he is particularly experienced in tax matters and in 2017 Nicholas was selected as a finalist in the Robin Oliver Tax Policy Competition for his proposal regarding the deductibility of interest expenditure for tax purposes.
